Fall Retreat

There are times when we need to step away from the momentum of our lives and create enough space to really meet ourselves. Not to become better versions of ourselves. Not to fix what we believe is wrong. But to listen—to the body, to the heart, to the places within us that may have been waiting a long time for our attention. This three-night, four-day retreat at Cooking Lake is an invitation into that kind of space: a few days devoted to ceremony, connection, presence and soul healing.
We will journey together through two plant medicine ceremonies, held within an intentional ceremonial container and supported by practices that help us stay in relationship with what is unfolding. Throughout our time together we will work with Breathwork, meditation, somatic movement, journal writing and integration circles, creating opportunities to experience the medicine through the body as well as through insight. Ceremony can reveal so much, but the deeper invitation is learning how to remain present with what has been revealed—allowing it to become part of how we inhabit ourselves and our lives.
For me, soul healing is often less about finding something new and more about welcoming home what has been exiled. The tender places. The protective places. The grief, love, fear, longing and wisdom that live beneath the stories we have learned to tell about ourselves. We will practice meeting these places without needing to judge them, overcome them or make them disappear. There is something powerful that happens when we stop abandoning ourselves in the places where life becomes difficult and instead learn to stay.
Held in the quiet beauty of late fall in Alberta, this retreat offers an intimate space to turn inward while being held in relationship—with the land, the medicines, the circle and yourself. You do not need to arrive knowing what needs to happen. Bring your curiosity, your willingness and what is already alive within you. The invitation is simply to meet yourself there.
