I am excited to announce the release of my book – Trauma as Medicine, a DIY book for healing trauma and transforming your life.

Trauma as Medicine Testimonials

This book is truly a revelation. Through her living example, Sarah has demonstrated that nothing – truly nothing – is “too big” or “too hard” or “too anything” to fully heal and reconcile. If you are willing to go into this place of possibility with Sarah as your guide, this book can and will change your life.

This book provides not only a story of tremendous healing but gifts the reader a thorough road map to navigate our own healing and ultimately contribute to the collective wellbeing of our planet. Sarah provides many pertinent reflections on our collective relationship to the First peoples of this land and the role required of each of us.

“My gifts lay in supporting individuals, groups and organizations to address the spirit of unresolved trauma, grief & suffering. When fear is addressed, pain is felt, and we go a little deeper, something essential happens: the dark becomes the birthplace of our magnificence.”

Sarah Salter Kelly is a talented writer, healer and speaker. She utilizes the raw compounded teachings of her life experience to uplift, empower and guide others. Her wisdom is authentic, embodied and hard won – generated through years of integrating the tragic homicide of her mother and learning to forgive the perpetrator – alongside 30 years of studying personal growth, mysticism, restorative justice, and earth-based healing traditions. Over the past 14 years she has run a private healing practice, facilitated retreats in Canada and in Peru, taught trauma-focused and shamanic healing workshops, and presented at conferences/public events.

She is a mother, wife, and lover of organic gardening, as well as an avid out-door enthusiast. Her spare time is spent exploring the edges of the wild for solace, connection and the challenge of physical endurance. Sarah resides in Grand Forks, B.C., with her family.

Testimonials for Sarah – Teacher. Healer. Speaker.

Traumatized is the best word to describe myself when I started working with Sarah. I attended her Trauma as medicine retreat, did private sessions, went to healing circles and many key note speaker events. Every one of these teachings was medicine for my soul and body. I learned to love myself and awakened my Spirit from the resentment of spousal beatings and residential school trauma. Sarah is a gifted Healer and she has opened my life to see my own amazing journey unfold for the better. I talk to everyone about her teachings.

Working with Sarah and Trauma as Medicine has been a tremendous gift on my journey of healing my deep and long-standing abandonment wounds. Sarah’s ability to help empower me to heal myself, without reliance on anything or anyone outside of my own inner medicine and truth has been a remarkable gift.
